Gold earrings for every day, from a quiet stud to a hoop with presence. 18k gold PVD over stainless steel. PVD bonds the gold to the surface rather than laying it on as a thin coating, which is why these pieces hold their colour through water, perfume and everyday handling far better than ordinary plating.
Hoops, huggies, studs and drops, several with cubic zirconia, shell or natural stone.

What 18k gold plated means for earrings
Our 18k gold plated earrings carry a layer of real 18k gold over a stainless steel base. Most are finished using PVD, which bonds the gold to the steel in a vacuum rather than in a plating bath, giving a surface that is more hard wearing than traditional electroplating. For earrings, worn close to the skin and often kept in all day, a well bonded finish matters, and with ordinary care the warmth lasts well.
Look at the fitting as closely as the shape. A hook, a huggie and a stud each sit differently and suit different lengths of wear, and the listed drop and diameter tell you how much presence a pair will have. A smaller hoop reads as a quiet detail, while a longer drop gives the design more movement.
Each listing states exactly what a pair is made from, including any pearls or stones. For gold that stays close to the ear, see our huggie earrings. For the cooler tone instead, see sterling silver earrings, or browse the wider earring collection. Our guide to gold plated and gold filled jewellery explains the finishes in more depth, and the Jewellery Care guide covers keeping the finish looking its best.
